What is it?
Enables consumers to join in a campaign by scanning a QR code.
QR codes are easy to use and provide a rich media experience for your customer. Given the overall increase in the adoption of web based enabled smart phones, QR codes are a great way to enhance customers' experience since they connect offline to online and make the information portable.
How does it work?
With SMSP creating a QR code campaign is a simple 3-step process:

Set up a Web Opt-In Service in SMSP

Enter the appropriate data and your QR code will be automatically created

Choose the URL that will link to the opt-in form that will forward the data to our Mobile Marketing Platform, by either:

Implementing your own form that will submit the data to our platform, OR

Using the hosted form solution that is provided by our platform and redirect users to that form from your QR code.

Embedding a QR code in your marketing strategy offers a great amount of possibilities due to their ease of creating and printing. QR codes offer integration with a variety of printing advertising mediums, like brochures, newspapers, magazines and products’ packages, and if thoughtfully placed, can create great value to your campaign.

On traditional mediums like a newspaper advertorial you can place a QR code with a call to action like “Scan this if you wish to receive SMS with special offers/ updates”. When the user scan the QR code will be leaded to your opt-in form and his/her mobile number will be included in your clients' database for the delivery of future messages/promotions by SMS. |
Sales | On printing advertising material like flyers and posters that promote a new product or service an embedded QR code could contain a message such “Scan this if you wish to receive a free sample of the product” and through the opt in process the user’s mobile number will be at the disposal of your sales department. |
User Support |
On products’ packages a QR code with the caption “Need help?” Scan this and download the manual” or “”Need help? Scan this and we will give you a call back” will land the user in your opt in landing page and then your support department can directly communicate with the customer. |
Our Mobile Marketing Platform also supports a double opt in procedure, so the user cannot insert a mobile phone number other than their own. This is accomplished by sending to the submitted mobile phone an SMS with a code which is required in order the user to fulfill the opt in form.
