Redirect Value-Added Service

The Redirect Service allows you to extract messages from the platform and redirect them to your own service, for further processing. After you have processed each message you can send back a response to the service, which will then forward it to the mobile user. 

The Redirect service is essentially an intermediate channel linking an external service that wishes to accept SMS messages to mobile users. The service is built to forward all incoming messages through the Internet to an external service, and then, if appropriate accept from that service a response message, which it will forward to the mobile user who originally sent the SMS message.

Usage Scenarios 

Redirect Services are used to enable third-party applications to process SMS messages. The Redirect Services allow anyone to add SMS functionality to their service, simply by linking with the SMS Platform, without the additional overhead of having to develop their own SMS routing and processing framework.
