Automated Billing Tool

Automated Billing

The Automated Billing Tool can be used to extract automatically generated reports about the profits of the platform users over specified time periods.

The SMS Platform offers since version 4 an automated billing tool which can be used by platform administrators in order to automatically calculate how much they need to credit each of their clients (i.e. platform users). The same service can also be used by simple platform users to automatically calculate how much they have earned for specific time periods.

Platform administrator

The Billing tool offers platform administrators the ability to generate two types of reports for their users:

Client Short Code Profits Report

This report presents the profits of the client for each short code used separately, as well as a grand total.

 Client VAS Instance Profits Report

Client VAS Instance Profits Report

This report presents the profits of the client from each service separately, as well as a grand total.

In both types of these reports the administrator will need to select the valid time period for the report, as well as select the users for which the report will be generated.

Simple platform users

The Billing tool also offers simple platform users the ability to quickly and easily view the profits from each of their services.

Client VAS Instance Profits Report

The user simply selects the valid time period for the report, to see profits from each service, as well as a grand total.

The Billing tool, finally, offers a number of configuration options, which allow it to be used in any set of real-world conditions. The platform administrators can set:

  • The profit % they receive from each short code used in the platform
  • The tariff for each short code used, as defined by the mobile operators.
  • The profit % they have agreed with each platform user, for each service.
  • Which user or group of users is associated with each service, allowing a single service to be just as easily associated with one or multiple users.
